The whole family gathered together for dinner after we saw Fran at the cemetery. As soon as we were seated a sea of cellphones and tablets cluttered the table. For me, it was one of the loneliest family dinners that I ever had.

The kids were all mesmerized by their screens and their parents talking amongst themselves. Somehow it felt wrong being here and I wish I had stayed at the cemetery.

I guess this entry shouldn't be about me and my feelings. That's wrong of me to hijack it when it's Frans day.

I love you Fran and I miss you more than ever.
