Food and Packages

My youngest daughter Darlene has Covid for the 3rd time. We are all a bit stressed as she's pregnant and Covid is hitting harder this time.

Today, was Lena’s first day of kindergarten and Darlene told me she cried putting her on the bus. I just checked with Darlene before writing this and she said Lena had a good day.

On the package front, Fran’s sister went to claim the package at the post office with the tracking number I provided. The package label was not correct which is why it sat in limbo for a month.

The funny thing is that is not what I wrote and I have my copy of the tracking label as proof. Maybe the post office couldn't understand my chicken scratch,,,, that was very frustrating.

More package updates- I'm almost finished with the large box and will be dropping it off at the shipping place this week.

I also shipped out a package via Fed ex to a friend down south and that hopefully will be arriving tomorrow.

For my birthday celebration, I stopped at a local place and had Balsamic Glazed Salmon Medallions Salad Lunch
Lentils, black beans, grape tomatoes, Moroccan spice, arugula, frisée, vinaigrette.

I washed that down with a Chardonnay from California. It was sweet and fruity and I think it went well with the Salmon.

Is it proper to order red instead of white with Salmon? I'm not sure of the proper etiquette but I went with the white wine.

For dessert a freshly baked brownie with vanilla ice cream on top.

There is an Argentinian place down the road from me that I might get to tomorrow but I was looking for someone to drag along.

If I can't find any takers I will go it alone.
