First Day Of Chemo
2020-07-16, 7:29 a.m.

To start off the day Soccara cried outside the Chemo place and it took a while for us to calm her down. Strict rules regarding COVID and people with low immunity forbade any of us staying with her. Things didn't get much better once she and entered for her appointment.

There was a scheduling problem, technical problems, and who knows what the fuck else happened but it didn't start until after 1130 AM.

The kids kept up with her progress as I ran errands this way I could be 100 percent at her side later on. As soon as we got the call around 5 pm that she was nearly done we all went back to pick her up.

The ride home afterward actually never happened because we all went to Darlene's (my youngest daughter). Everyone decided this would be best as Soccara has to be monitored closely due to the apparatus that's dosing her chemo medicine.

The chemo medicine will be done dosing on Friday and then we will make a determination on how to proceed from there.

Darlene's house is more of a boot camp than my place. All meals are at a certain time and everyone's required to attend (I'm not joking).
Medicines are given at the prescribed times and lights out is when she retires for the evening.

In comparison does anyone actually ever sleep at my house? There are always kids screaming and lights on all hours of the day and night. We do not do mandatory meal times and it has a more insane asylum feeling then boot camp.

Soccara held up well today but this is just the start of a very long arduous journey.
